About the role

Pearson is seeking an Early Career Teacher to work as a GCE A Level Politics examiner. The role is fully remote and runs during the marking period from May to July, with training in May‑June. You will apply your subject expertise to assess candidates’ scripts using the ePEN marking platform.

Key responsibilities

Mark candidates’ responses accurately and consistently according to the pre‑defined mark scheme.
Submit sample scripts to the Team Leader at designated times.
Adhere to marking milestones and deadlines.
Complete all required administrative tasks on schedule.

Required profile

Possess a degree or equivalent qualification.
Be a qualified teacher currently in your NQT (first) year of teaching GCE A Level Politics.
Demonstrate a high level of subject knowledge to apply the mark scheme.
Ability to work well under pressure and meet strict deadlines.

Required skills

Proficiency with the ePEN marking platform.
