Early Years Lecturer – Flexible FE Roles

About the role

We are seeking enthusiastic Early Years Lecturers to deliver high‑quality teaching across a range of Further Education colleges in North London and other locations. You will help learners develop a solid understanding of child development, safeguarding and best practice in early years settings, preparing them for professional careers.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver engaging Early Years lessons for learners of varying levels.
• Teach Early Years programmes covering child development, safeguarding and practice.
• Assess, monitor and record student progress, providing constructive feedback.
• Maintain accurate teaching records in line with college requirements.
• Create an inclusive, positive learning environment.
• Support learner retention, achievement and progression.

Required profile

• Relevant degree or qualification in Early Years, Childcare, Childhood Studies, Education or related field.
• Teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, DTLLS, Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training or equivalent).
• Experience teaching Early Years in Further Education, Higher Education, secondary or adult learning environments.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
• Passion for Early Years education and ability to motivate learners.
