Early Years Teacher – Play‑Based Learning

About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic Early Years Teacher to join our team in Bournemouth. You will create a safe, nurturing environment where children can thrive through play‑based learning, following the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, child‑centred learning activities aligned with EYFS.
• Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment.
• Observe, assess, and monitor each child's progress and development.
• Support communication, language, literacy, and numeracy skills.
• Build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
• Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all children, including those with SEND and EAL.
• Contribute to curriculum planning and wider school initiatives.
• Uphold safeguarding procedures and promote child wellbeing.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Experience teaching within the Early Years Foundation Stage (ECTs welcome).
• Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework and early childhood development.
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
• Passion for creative, play‑based learning.
• Commitment to safeguarding and child welfare.
