Ecologist – Bristol (Hybrid)

About the role

We are looking for a qualified Ecologist to join an established ecological consultancy in Bristol. The role involves delivering high-quality ecological surveys and supporting clients through the planning process on a variety of development projects across the South and South West.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, organise and carry out ecological field surveys on diverse sites.
• Manage project timelines, budgets and client communications.
• Produce technical reports and ecological assessments for planning applications.
• Provide expert advice on biodiversity mitigation and enhancement measures.
• Travel to project locations as required and maintain accurate field data.

Required profile

• Previous experience as an Ecologist within a UK ecological consultancy.
• Degree in Ecology, Environmental Science, Biology or a related discipline.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong project-management and organisational abilities.
• Full UK driving licence, access to a vehicle and the right to work in the UK.
• Residence within a commutable distance of Bristol.
• Membership of CIEEM and protected-species licences are advantageous.
