Education Solicitor – Specialist Education Law Team

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Education Solicitor to join our specialist Education Law team. The role involves advising and representing teachers, students, parents and educational institutions across a wide range of matters.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a varied caseload covering primary & secondary school admissions, exclusions, independent school disputes, SEN/EHCP advice, and university student issues.
• Conduct case management, ensuring efficient, cost‑effective work and compliance with firm policies.
• Represent clients in hearings, tribunals and negotiations with educational authorities, trusts and regulatory bodies.
• Maintain accurate time‑recording and utilise IT systems for case documentation.
• Contribute to business development and promote the firm’s education law services.

Required profile

• Qualified solicitor with solid experience in education law.
• Demonstrated ability to handle complex, multi‑stakeholder cases.
• Strong analytical and advocacy skills.
• Commitment to high professional standards and client service.

Required skills

• Case management and legal research.
• Client representation in education‑related disputes.
• Knowledge of primary/secondary school law, SEN/EHCP regulations, and higher‑education matters.
