Education Solicitor – Specialist Legal Role

About the role

Richard Nelson LLP is seeking an experienced and dedicated Education Solicitor to join its specialist Education Law Team. The role involves providing expert legal support to teachers, students, parents and educational institutions across a wide range of matters.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a varied caseload covering primary & secondary school admissions, exclusions, independent school disputes, and contractual issues.
• Advise on SEN/EHCP matters, including EHCP applications, assessments and appeals.
• Represent university students in sexual allegation cases, misconduct investigations, visa applications and fitness‑to‑practice proceedings.
• Conduct cases efficiently, ensuring compliance with firm policies and high professional standards.
• Utilise time‑recording systems and IT tools effectively to maintain cost‑effective work practices.
• Contribute to business development and promote the firm’s education law services.

Required profile
