Electrical Assembly Technician – Panel Builder

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Electrical Assembly Technician to join a growing production team in Basildon. The role focuses on building and wiring complex control boards and enclosures for a range of industrial and commercial applications. You will work on‑site in a modern facility, following a flexible start time between 7:00 am and 9:00 am.

Key responsibilities

• Assemble control boards and enclosures using a variety of electrical components.
• Perform point‑to‑point wiring, including cable preparation, routing and termination.
• Maintain high standards of cable management and overall presentation.
• Interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams and parts lists to guide assembly.
• Inspect and test completed assemblies for accuracy and compliance.
• Use hand and power tools safely and efficiently.

Required profile

• Previous experience in electrical assembly, panel wiring or a similar manufacturing role.
• Ability to read and follow technical drawings and schematics.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Good manual dexterity and experience with electrical components and control systems.
• Relevant technical qualification or apprenticeship is desirable.
