Electrical Engineer - City of London Contract

About the role

Smart Managed Solutions is looking for an Electrical Engineer to work on an exciting contract in the City of London. The engineer carries out preventive, reactive and breakdown work on all electrical systems on site, operating engineering assets so they run reliably and cost-effectively with no unplanned disruptions.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out PPM, reactive and breakdown work on all electrical systems on site
• Ensure routine PPM is completed on all electrical plant in line with site schedules and asset lists
• Complete reactive tasks across the building, including concessionary stores and fabric items, and highlight areas for improvement
• Remedy plant faults and defects promptly to maintain serviceability
• Keep the Computer-Based Maintenance System (e.g. Concept, Smart Hub) updated and close out PPM and reactive tickets accurately
• Complete paperwork for reactive and breakdown works and pass it to the contract administrator without delay
• Prepare and use Method Statements and Risk Assessments for all tasks
• Keep all Smart-managed plant rooms locked, clean and tidy

Required profile

• Formal training in City and Guilds Electrical Installations or the equivalent NVQ and Building Services maintenance
• 18th Edition BS7671 City and Guilds
• Experience in a similar role

Required skills

• Knowledge of air conditioning, UPS, generators and LV systems
• Ability to fault-find using graphical information and alarm data
