Electrical Field Service Engineer – CNC Machine Tools

About the role

This is a field‑based position covering the whole of the UK. You will travel to customer sites, open electrical cabinets on CNC machines, diagnose faults and restore production quickly. The role focuses on electrical and electronic service of CNC machine tools using Heidenhain, Siemens SINUMERIK or Fanuc systems.

Key responsibilities

• Install, commission, service and repair CNC machinery on‑site.
• Diagnose electrical, electronic and control faults to minimise downtime.
• Interpret electrical drawings and schematics to resolve issues.
• Work independently, making engineering decisions at customer locations.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience servicing CNC machine tools.
• Strong electrical and electronic fault‑finding skills.
• Familiarity with Heidenhain, Siemens SINUMERIK and/or Fanuc controls.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel, including overnight stays.
