Electrical Service Engineer – Field Based (Swindon)

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Electrical Service Engineer to join a well‑established water‑utility contractor in Swindon. The role is field‑based, covering a local patch within a one‑hour radius of your home, and offers full hands‑on training and a clear pathway to a Team Leader position.

Key responsibilities

• Service, repair and monitor a range of water‑utility electrical equipment on client sites.
• Travel to assigned locations using a company‑provided electric van, with door‑to‑door payment.
• Work standard hours (08:00‑17:00, Monday‑Friday) with optional overtime paid at 1.5× (weekends) and 2× (Sundays).
• Maintain accurate service records and report any faults to the central team.

Required profile

• Qualified electrical background or equivalent experience.
• Willingness to undertake on‑the‑job training and external electrical courses.
• Ability to work independently within a defined geographic area.
• Commitment to health and safety standards in a utility environment.
