Electrician – Planned Works (Full‑time, £43k)

About the role

Join BPHA’s In‑House Maintenance Service as a full‑time Electrician on the Planned Works Team. You will deliver high‑quality refurbishment and improvement projects across Bedfordshire and surrounding counties, working directly in customers’ homes.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out kitchen rewires, bathroom and shower upgrades, including chasing and installing surface‑mounted containment.
• Install new circuits, alter existing ones, and replace consumer units in occupied and void properties.
• Inspect, test and certify electrical installations, producing Installation Certificates, Minor Works Certificates and Condition Reports.
• Perform fault finding, repairs and remedial works in line with BS 7671 regulations.
• Follow safe isolation procedures and collaborate with other trades during kitchen refurbishment programmes.
• Manage your own planned‑works schedule and meet project deadlines independently.

Required profile

• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation and AM2 qualification.
• City & Guilds 18th Edition Wiring Regulations certification.
• Proven experience in domestic electrical installations, rewires, testing and fault finding.
• Experience working on planned maintenance or refurbishment programmes.
• Full UK driving licence.
