Electronics Engineer

About the role

Our client, an established electronics manufacturing firm in Rochester, is seeking an experienced Electronics Engineer to join their multi‑disciplined team. The role is permanent, senior to principal level, and involves delivering complex digital and analogue hardware solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Execute complex hardware design tasks in line with the development plan, meeting timescales and budgets.
• Capture hardware requirements, produce preliminary and detailed designs, and perform analysis.
• Identify innovative design improvements and optimise solutions across disciplines.
• Collaborate with integrated teams to minimise dependencies and impacts.
• Provide technical guidance for digital and/or analogue electronics solutions.
• Coach and develop junior team members.
• Deliver design artefacts that comply with company and industry standards.

Required profile

• Degree or HND in electronics engineering or an equivalent qualification.
• Minimum 5 years of UK residence and work experience, eligible for BPSS clearance.
• Proven experience with digital and/or analogue electronics technologies.
• Full lifecycle engineering experience from concept to product certification.
• Strong understanding of cost and schedule constraints and robust engineering judgement.
• Experience in product design and work‑package control.

• Competitive salary £50,000‑£65,000 per annum.
