Employee Benefits Consultant

About the role

Portfolio HR & Reward, in partnership with a reputable professional services organisation, is looking for an Employee Benefits Consultant to support a diverse portfolio of clients across South East England. The role combines client consultation, benefits programme design and compliance oversight to help employers deliver attractive, compliant employee benefits.

Key responsibilities

• Engage with employers to understand business objectives, culture and employee needs.
• Analyse existing benefit schemes, identify improvement areas and provide strategic guidance.
• Develop and implement tailored benefits packages, researching providers and managing vendor relationships.
• Ensure all programmes comply with relevant legislation such as pension auto‑enrolment and GDPR.
• Create communication materials, run workshops, webinars and presentations to educate employees about their benefits.
• Collect and analyse data on claims, utilisation and feedback, producing reports and actionable insights.
• Stay up‑to‑date with regulatory changes and support clients during audits and assessments.

Required profile

• Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Financial Services or a related discipline.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent listening, written and verbal communication skills.
• Self‑driven, proactive and able to work effectively within a national team.
• Proven ability to build and maintain client relationships.

• Competitive salary ranging from £80,000 to £85,000 per year.
