Employee Compliance Specialist

About the role
Avery Healthcare Group is seeking an Employee Compliance Specialist to ensure that all colleagues work legally and confidently throughout their employment journey. Reporting to the Immigration and Compliance Manager, you will act as the primary compliance expert across the organisation.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain Right‑to‑Work compliance for all staff and contractors.
- Manage sponsorship and UKVI compliance, including visa monitoring and renewals.
- Oversee DBS renewal processes and ensure timely completion.
- Conduct employment audits, risk assessments, and keep records audit‑ready.
- Provide advice, guidance and training to Home Administrators, Home Managers, Regional Directors and the People Team.
- Travel to Avery locations as required to support compliance activities.
Required profile
- Proven experience in employment compliance, especially Right‑to‑Work and DBS procedures.
- Up‑to‑date knowledge of UK immigration legislation and sponsorship requirements.
- Strong attention to detail, independent working style and ability to manage competing priorities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Effective stakeholder management and influencing abilities.
