Employment Adviser

About the role

The Employment Adviser role is based in our Hastings office and sits at the heart of Reed in Partnership’s Employability Division. You will work directly with long‑term unemployed jobseekers, helping them overcome barriers and move into sustainable employment while promoting the Restart Scheme within the local community.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of long‑term unemployed participants, identify barriers and create personalised action plans.
• Provide one‑to‑one support including CV writing, interview preparation and skills development.
• Meet and exceed performance targets and KPIs set for the Restart Scheme.
• Collaborate with participants to build confidence and shift mindsets towards employment.
• Engage with local employers to source job opportunities and build partnerships.
• Signpost participants to internal and external services for health, housing or financial issues.
• Promote the Restart Scheme in the community, raising awareness of its benefits.
