Employment Law Solicitor (5+ PQE) – Associate/Senior Associate

About the role

Our client, a Legal 500‑ranked firm in Dorset, is seeking an experienced Employment Law Solicitor to join its Corporate and Commercial team. The position is offered at Associate or Senior Associate level and provides a clear pathway to partnership for the right candidate.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a broad, employer‑focused employment law caseload for a varied client base.
• Draft employment contracts, policies, handbooks and provide HR advice on disciplinaries, grievances and redundancies.
• Advise on employment disputes, including unfair dismissal, discrimination and Employment Tribunal matters.
• Support corporate transactions with TUPE, employee due‑diligence and related employment aspects.
• Deliver tailored employment law training to clients.

Required profile

• Qualified solicitor with a minimum of 5 years post‑qualification experience in Employment Law.
• Strong technical knowledge of employment legislation and the ability to work independently.
• Confident client‑facing skills and experience supervising or mentoring junior staff (advantageous).
