Employment Solicitor – 3+ Years PQE, London

About the role

We are seeking an Employment Solicitor with at least three years post‑qualification experience to join a nationally recognised team in London. You will advise a diverse client base on a wide range of employment and HR matters, supporting senior leadership across the education sector.

Key responsibilities

• Provide commercially‑focused advice on day‑to‑day HR issues, disciplinary and grievance procedures, safeguarding, senior appointments and exits.
• Manage restructures, academy conversions, mergers and governance changes from an employment law perspective.
• Draft and review employment contracts, policies, staff handbooks and related documentation.
• Develop and maintain long‑term relationships with governors, headteachers, bursars, COOs and other senior leaders.

Required profile

• Minimum three years PQE in Employment Law.
• Experience or genuine interest in advising education sector clients.
• Strong technical and drafting abilities with a pragmatic, solutions‑focused approach.
• Excellent communication skills and proven ability to build trusted client relationships.
