Employment Solicitor – Associate/Senior Associate (Hybrid)

About the role

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Employment Solicitor to join a well‑established employment team within a leading litigation‑focused practice in Glasgow. The position offers high‑quality contentious work, autonomy and the chance to influence the growth of the firm’s employment offering.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a broad caseload of contentious employment matters for both claimants and respondents.
• Handle Employment Tribunal litigation from instruction through to resolution, including advocacy at preliminary and substantive hearings.
• Conduct settlement negotiations and provide advisory support on disciplinary, grievance and dismissal processes.
• Lead files independently while collaborating with partners on complex or high‑value cases.
• Mentor junior colleagues and contribute to client development and team initiatives as experience grows.

Required profile

• Qualified solicitor with solid post‑qualification experience in employment law.
• Comfortable operating at Associate or Senior Associate level.
• Strong technical grounding with a pragmatic, commercial approach.
• Confident in managing matters autonomously and delivering high standards of client service.
• Effective communicator with clients and colleagues.
• Organised, IT‑confident and able to manage competing priorities.
• Interest in mentoring or supporting junior team members.
