Employment Solicitor (NQ – up to 2 years PQE)

About the role

My Law Solicitors is seeking a newly qualified or early‑career solicitor to join its specialist employment law team in Wakefield. You will work directly with clients, develop your own caseload and receive hands‑on mentorship from experienced colleagues.

Key responsibilities

• Advise employees and employers on settlement agreements, unfair dismissal, discrimination, grievances, redundancy and workplace disputes.
• Draft and negotiate settlement agreements and other employment documents.
• Represent clients in employment tribunal matters and provide clear, practical legal advice.
• Manage a personal file portfolio while collaborating with senior solicitors for guidance.

Required profile

• Qualified solicitor in England & Wales with a current practising certificate.
• Newly qualified or up to two years post‑qualification experience (NQ‑2).
• Strong interest in developing expertise in employment law.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to explain legal concepts in plain English.

• Negotiation and client liaison.
