Employment Tax Senior Manager (Director role available)

About the role

We are seeking an Employment Tax Senior Manager to join a leading practice in Bristol. Working in a hybrid model, you will own a diverse portfolio of advisory projects, build trusted client relationships and help shape the future growth of the tax team.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver employment tax advisory across PAYE, NICs, benefits, IR35 and global mobility.
• Manage a portfolio of corporate clients, providing high‑quality technical advice.
• Support business development by identifying opportunities and contributing to proposals.
• Lead IR35 and off‑payroll reviews, remediation projects and risk audits.
• Assist in structuring tax‑efficient remuneration and termination packages.
• Collaborate with HR, Finance, Legal and wider Tax teams.
• Coach and mentor junior staff members.
• Keep clients informed of legislative changes and emerging risks.

Required profile

• ACA, ACCA or CTA qualified (or equivalent).
• Strong experience in UK employment tax.
• Commercially aware with a proactive attitude.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills.

Required skills

• Technical knowledge of PAYE, NICs, IR35, P11Ds and PSAs.
• Familiarity with global mobility tax issues (advantageous but not essential).
