Employment Tax Senior Manager

About the role

You will join a nationally recognised audit, tax, advisory and consulting firm with a strong UK presence. The team works closely with local tax partners and the national Workforce Advisory group to deliver a full suite of employment tax services to clients ranging from owner‑managed businesses to listed groups and charities.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct employer compliance reviews and internal audit/health checks.
• Advise on worker status, IR35 and employment tax risk management.
• Support due‑diligence projects for acquisitions and restructurings.
• Manage Class 1A NIC, P11D and benefit reporting.
• Provide advice on expenses, benefits and remuneration planning, including share schemes, bonuses and salary‑sacrifice arrangements.
• Assist clients with CIS obligations and related statutory filings.
• Prepare statutory forms for share schemes and employment‑related securities submissions.
• Contribute to business development initiatives and collaborate with tax, audit and corporate finance colleagues.

Required profile

• ACA, CTA or equivalent professional qualification.
• Significant employment tax experience across compliance and advisory projects.
• Strong client‑service ethos and ability to build trusted relationships.
• Proven track record of generating new opportunities or developing client relationships.
• Confidence working independently and within multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong analytical skills and accurate interpretation of financial information.
• Commitment to coaching and developing junior staff.
• Ability to manage risk, maintain quality and deliver work efficiently.
• Positive attitude toward change, personal development and continuous improvement.
