Enforcement Agent – Cardiff

About the role

The Enforcement Agent role is based in Cardiff and covers a wide geographical area including Barry, Pontypridd, Abertillery, Pontypool, Newport and Chepstow. You will act on behalf of clients to recover debts, negotiate payments and, when necessary, take control of goods in line with regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Visit customers' homes and businesses to discuss outstanding debts.
• Negotiate professionally to maximise successful recoveries and set up payment arrangements.
• Take payments, complete income questionnaires and, if required, take control of goods following legal guidelines.
• Maintain accurate case notes, visit reports and payment records.
• Identify vulnerable customers, adapt approach and refer to appropriate support pathways.

Required profile

• Strong communication and negotiation abilities.
• Confidence handling difficult and sensitive conversations.
• Calm, firm and fair demeanor with a target‑driven mindset.
• Excellent time‑management and self‑organisation skills.
• Full UK manual driving licence, free of CCJs and criminal record.
