Engineering Lead – Mechanical Design for Gas Turbine Components

About the role

As an Engineering Lead you will drive the mechanical design of gas turbine components for aero‑engine applications. You will work across the product development life‑cycle, from requirements gathering to detailed design, validation and manufacturing definition, collaborating with key stakeholders to deliver high‑quality solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design and integration of aero‑engine components and assemblies, applying product safety, robust design, system engineering, DFX and producibility principles.
• Collaborate with the integrated project team to mature designs through gated technical reviews and secure buy‑offs.
• Produce manufacturing definitions using traditional drawings or Model‑Based Definitions (MBD) in line with customer procedures and best practices.
• Support and lead validation activities related to implementation and manufacturability.
• Mentor team members within a learning‑focused, collaborative culture that values diversity and excellence.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading mechanical design projects for gas turbine or aero‑engine components.
• Strong understanding of product safety, robust design, system engineering and DFX concepts.
• Demonstrated ability to work with cross‑functional teams and manage technical reviews.
• Experience delivering manufacturing documentation and supporting validation activities.
