Engineering Lecturer – Liverpool (Full‑time/Temporary)

About the role

We are looking for enthusiastic Engineering Lecturers to join our network of further‑education colleges in Liverpool. The role can be taken on a full‑time, part‑time, sessional or temporary basis, delivering both theoretical and practical engineering training to learners.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging engineering lessons that meet curriculum and awarding‑body specifications.
• Teach theoretical concepts and hands‑on skills in workshops and classrooms across mechanical, electrical, manufacturing, fabrication & welding and general engineering.
• Assess learner progress, provide constructive feedback and maintain accurate records of attendance and achievement.
• Prepare students for employment, apprenticeships or progression to higher education.
• Promote safe working practices and ensure compliance with health‑and‑safety regulations.
• Collaborate with colleagues to continuously improve curriculum delivery and learner outcomes.

Required profile

• Level 3 qualification (or higher) in an engineering discipline.
• Relevant industry experience in engineering.
• Recognised teaching qualification (or willingness to obtain).
• Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
