Engineering Parts Coordinator

About the role

We are seeking an Engineering Parts Coordinator to support a leading engineering company in Swindon. The role blends hands‑on workshop duties with office administration, ensuring that precision components and related documentation are managed accurately.

Key responsibilities

• Accurately pick and prepare precision‑engineered components and equipment for technicians.
• Cross‑reference work orders, engineering drawings and production requirements.
• Maintain full traceability of components throughout the manufacturing process.
• Conduct stock checks and keep inventory records up to date.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies in parts, documentation or stock levels.
• Support technicians by ensuring required components and equipment are available.
• Prepare and package completed orders for quality inspection and assembly.
• Manage incoming phone calls and emails, providing professional communication with customers and suppliers.
• Liaise with internal departments to provide updates and resolve queries.
• Record information using Microsoft Excel and internal systems while meeting deadlines.

Required profile

• Previous experience in engineering, manufacturing, production or a technical environment.
• Excellent attention to detail with a methodical and organised approach.
• Strong communication skills and a professional telephone manner.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
