About the role
We are looking for a dedicated English GCSE Lecturer to join Crawley College, part of the Chichester College Group. You will teach 16‑18‑year‑old learners on full‑time programmes, delivering engaging and inclusive lessons that meet curriculum and awarding‑body standards.
Key responsibilities
- Plan, deliver and assess GCSE English lessons in line with curriculum requirements.
- Track and report on learner progress, supporting attendance, retention and achievement.
- Contribute to curriculum planning, quality assurance and compliance with funding and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with the English department to create inclusive learning experiences.
Required profile
- Strong subject knowledge of English.
- Experience teaching GCSE English in further education or secondary settings, or ability to adapt quickly to FE delivery.
- Recognised teaching qualification or willingness to work towards one.
Required skills
- Lesson planning and assessment.
- Knowledge of GCSE English curriculum and awarding‑body requirements.
- Ability to use inclusive teaching methods.

- Salary range £27,785‑£43,325 per annum plus £610 weighting allowance.
