English Teacher (Full‑time, Temporary)

About the role

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking qualified English teachers to work across a range of secondary schools in Maidstone from September to December 2026. This temporary full‑time placement offers the chance to gain diverse classroom experience, support student progress during a critical part of the academic year, and build lasting connections with local schools.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging English lessons in line with the national curriculum.
• Adapt teaching approaches to suit different classroom environments and student needs.
• Mark and assess student work, providing constructive feedback.
• Maintain a positive and productive classroom atmosphere and manage behaviour in line with school policies.
• Collaborate with school staff to support student progress.
• Uphold safeguarding and wellbeing standards at all times.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Strong subject knowledge in English.
• Ability to adapt to different school settings.
• Willingness to obtain an Enhanced DBS disclosure and any required overseas police clearances.
• Legal right to work in the UK.
