Equities & Digital Assets R&D Analyst – Index Design

About the role

The Index Design team at S&P Dow Jones Indices is looking for an Equities & Digital Assets R&D Analyst to help create innovative, systematic index solutions. Reporting to an R&D Team Manager and working closely with the Head of Equities & Digital Assets Index Design, you will translate client and product requirements into robust, scalable index concepts.

Key responsibilities

• Support research, design and quantitative analysis of new equity and digital‑asset indices.
• Gather, clean, transform and validate large, complex datasets.
• Perform back‑testing, methodology development and documentation of index strategies.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders throughout the index lifecycle.
• Contribute to research publications, presentations and thought‑leadership pieces.

• Strong numeracy and analytical mindset.
• Ability to work with complex data in a repeatable, controlled manner.
• Detail‑oriented with excellent documentation skills.
• Curious and collaborative, eager to turn market insight into actionable index designs.
