Estimator – Manufacturing & Distribution

About the role

Adecco is recruiting on behalf of a well‑established manufacturing and distribution business in Colchester. The Estimator will join a busy commercial team, analysing customer enquiries, interpreting technical and architectural information, and producing accurate quotations and production plans.

Key responsibilities

• Produce detailed estimates, quotations and production schedules.
• Analyse customer enquiries to ensure timely and accurate quote generation.
• Interpret architectural drawings and create project schedules.
• Develop and verify pricing schedules and specifications.
• Review technical details against relevant requirements.
• Collaborate with sales, project, planning, purchasing and production teams.
• Liaise with customers regarding quotations, project requirements and delivery schedules.
• Maintain accurate electronic and paper‑based records.
• Provide general administrative support and adhere to health and safety procedures.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a customer‑facing role (essential).
• Strong administrative and organisational abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Outstanding attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
