About the role

Smurfit Westrock is seeking motivated students to join its production team for the 2026 summer season. The role offers hands‑on experience in a safe, innovative paper‑packaging environment.

Key responsibilities

• Handle and move raw materials and finished goods within the production area.
• Feed various production equipment to keep lines running.
• Perform packaging, palletising and product labeling tasks.
• Conduct basic quality‑control checks on outgoing cartons.
• Carry out cleaning duties and support preventive‑maintenance activities.
• Assist with line start‑up and shutdown procedures.
• Support regular staff with any additional elementary manufacturing tasks.

Required profile

• Currently enrolled in a university or college program.
• Available to work day, evening or night shifts as required.
• Willing to undergo a drug screening after a conditional offer.
• Commitment to safety, integrity and teamwork.

Required skills

• Basic material handling and manual dexterity.
• Ability to operate simple production equipment.
• Understanding of packaging and palletising processes.
• Attention to detail for quality checks.
