About the role
Robert Bosch LLC is looking for Senior Technical Experts to join its Vehicle Motion (VM) and Mobility Electronics – Mechatronics (ME‑MT) teams in Plymouth, MI. You will act as the primary regional liaison, driving collaboration on steering and brake electronic products and shaping next‑generation mechatronic solutions.
Key responsibilities
- Collect, evaluate and prioritize business requirements with VM and global teams.
- Manage and evolve requirements for next‑gen product families such as BWA, 48 Systems, and EMB.
- Coordinate an international development network, handling program and project planning, resource allocation, and escalation.
- Develop customer‑specific layouts for Ethernet, 48 V, and USCAR power‑connection systems.
- Monitor scope, quality, budget and timeline; report status and mitigate risks.
- Provide technical consultation to VM on mechatronic topics and support OEM negotiations.
- Lead supplier localization, cost‑down initiatives and supply‑chain development for domestic manufacturing.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in technology management, systems engineering or a related field.
- Minimum 7 years of experience as a Mechatronics or Mechanical Engineer in automotive electronic product development.
- Proven track record with reliability design, PCB layout, hardware design, and design‑for‑manufacturing/assembly.
- Experience designing braking and steering mechatronic units to ISO standards.
- Project‑management experience for ECU‑based steering/brake projects.
- Requirements management using IBM DOORS.
