European Internal Audit Manager

About the role

We are seeking a bright, ambitious and people‑focused auditor to join a fast‑growing, PE‑backed engineering and project services business. The role offers a commercially focused internal audit function across Europe, with direct exposure to the Group CFO and senior leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver the European Internal Audit plan across multiple countries.
• Lead operational, financial and commercial audits.
• Partner with senior stakeholders to improve controls, governance and business processes.
• Identify risks and provide practical, value‑adding recommendations.
• Present findings and recommendations to senior leadership.
• Build strong relationships with teams across Europe and act as a trusted business partner.
• Support wider risk management and governance initiatives across the Group.

Required profile

• ACA, ACCA, CIA or equivalent qualification.
• Internal audit experience gained in practice, industry or a combination of both.
• Commercial curiosity and confidence working with senior stakeholders.
• Willingness to travel extensively across Europe and work with diverse cultures.
• European language skills are highly advantageous.
