Evening/Weekend Mental Health Support Worker (Children)

About the role

We are seeking a compassionate Mental Health Support Worker to provide evening and weekend care for children with mental health needs in Cumbria. The role involves delivering personalised care plans, supporting families, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to ensure a safe and nurturing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide direct mental health support to children during evenings and weekends.
• Implement and monitor individualised care plans.
• Communicate effectively with families and multidisciplinary teams.
• Maintain accurate records of care and interactions.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and organisational policies.

Required profile

• Minimum 6 months experience working in children’s mental health.
• Valid driver’s licence and own vehicle.
• Availability for evening shifts and at least 8 hours over the weekend.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
