Experienced Asbestos Surveyor

About the role

Penguin Recruitment is supporting a UKAS‑accredited asbestos consultancy in London. The successful candidate will join a respected team delivering high‑quality asbestos management and refurbishment/demolition surveys across a diverse portfolio of commercial, industrial, healthcare, education and public sector properties.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out Management and Refurbishment & Demolition (R&D) asbestos surveys in line with HSG264.
• Conduct bulk asbestos sampling across various property types.
• Produce accurate, compliant asbestos survey reports.
• Manage own workload and daily schedule across London.
• Liaise professionally with clients, contractors and internal teams.
• Maintain electronic records and survey documentation.
• Ensure all work complies with current asbestos legislation and HSE guidance.

Required profile

• BOHS P402 qualification (essential).
• Previous experience as an asbestos surveyor.
• Strong understanding of HSG264 and current asbestos legislation.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Excellent communication, organisational and report‑writing skills.
• Professional, reliable and quality‑focused approach.
