Experienced Chef – Blackfriars Street Café

About the role

We are seeking an experienced chef to join the kitchen team at our Blackfriars Street café. The role focuses on delivering high-quality breakfast and brunch dishes using seasonal Scottish produce, working daytime hours only.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and plate breakfast and brunch menus in a fast‑paced environment.
• Run a designated section of the kitchen while coordinating with the rest of the team.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work station.
• Ensure consistent quality and presentation of all dishes.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a chef in a busy café or restaurant.
• Ability to lead a section during high‑volume service.
• Strong organisational skills and a calm, positive attitude under pressure.
• Team‑player who values a supportive kitchen culture.

Required skills

• Experience working in a professional kitchen.
• Knowledge of seasonal ingredients and cooking from scratch.
