Experienced Solicitor (4+ PQE) – Insurance Litigation

About the role

Keoghs LLP, a leading UK insurance law firm, is seeking a solicitor with at least four years post‑qualification experience to manage a portfolio of household and commercial property recovery files. The role combines technical litigation work with client‑facing responsibilities, including training and relationship development.

Key responsibilities

• Initial review and reporting on recovery files
• Managing disclosure and reviewing evidence
• Conducting investigations and instructing counsel and experts
• Legal research and drafting of pleadings, Part 36 offers and applications
• Attending conferences, trials and ADR sessions
• Liaising with insurers, senior claims handlers and lay clients
• Negotiating settlements and preparing pre‑action and interim applications
• Ensuring compliance with SRA standards and regulations

Required profile

• Previous experience in a defendant insurance litigation firm
• Specific litigation experience in household and commercial recoveries
• Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritise workload
• Excellent communication skills for client interaction and seminar delivery

Required skills

• Proficiency with case management systems
