Experienced TIG Welder – Swindon

About the role

We are seeking an experienced TIG Welder to join a precision engineering company in Swindon. You will work within a close‑knit team producing high‑quality components where accuracy, consistency and attention to detail are essential.

Key responsibilities

• Set up and operate TIG welding equipment.
• Weld stainless steel, aluminium, aluminium‑bronze and mild‑steel components, including purge welding to specification.
• Interpret engineering drawings, symbols and tight tolerances.
• Perform spot welding, jigged and free‑hand welding in various positions.
• Carry out brazing – high‑temperature silver and low‑temperature brass work.
• Complete finishing tasks such as grinding, polishing, fettling and deburring.
• Measure and inspect components to ensure compliance with specifications.
• Maintain accurate production records and log operational data.
• Work within an established Quality Management System and adhere to environmental and safety standards.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a TIG Welder in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
• Confidence in producing work to tight tolerances and high‑quality standards.
• Ability to work rotating double‑day shift patterns (early and late shifts).
