Extended Services Manager – Breakfast & After‑School Club

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Extended Services Manager to lead the breakfast and after‑school clubs at a friendly primary school in Southwark. The role starts in September and offers the chance to shape a safe, engaging environment for children before and after the school day.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day operations of the breakfast (8:00‑9:00) and after‑school (2:30‑6:00) clubs.
• Plan and deliver inclusive, creative activities for primary‑aged children.
• Maintain high standards of safety, wellbeing and enjoyment for all pupils.
• Supervise and support playworkers, ensuring consistent quality of care.
• Build positive relationships with children, parents, carers and school staff.
• Ensure compliance with safeguarding, health‑and‑safety and school policies.
• Collaborate with the school leadership team to develop and enhance the wrap‑around care provision.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a breakfast club, after‑school club, nursery or similar childcare setting.
• Proven experience leading or supervising a team.
• Enthusiastic, reliable and highly organised.
• Strong communication and behaviour‑management abilities.
• Commitment to delivering high‑quality, fun and safe childcare.

• Competitive hourly rate of £19‑£21.
