EYFS SEN Support Assistant – Primary School (Blackpool)

About the role

We are looking for a caring and motivated EYFS SEN Support Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Blackpool from September 2026. The role is full‑time during term time and focuses on supporting young children with special educational needs in the Early Years Foundation Stage.

Key responsibilities

• Provide one‑to‑one and small‑group support for pupils with SEN.
• Assist in delivering personalised learning plans.
• Collaborate with class teachers, the SENCo and external professionals.
• Support communication, social interaction and emotional development.
• Help create a safe, engaging and inclusive learning environment.
• Monitor progress and contribute to observations and reports.

Required profile

• Experience working with children in EYFS or a similar setting.
• Knowledge or experience of SEN (e.g., ASD, speech & language needs, developmental delay).
• Patience, empathy and adaptability.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting child welfare.
