EYFS Teaching Assistant – Full‑time Permanent Role in Redbridge

About the role

We are looking for an enthusiastic EYFS Teaching Assistant to join our welcoming primary school in Redbridge. This full‑time permanent position starts in September 2026 and offers the chance to support young learners in Nursery and Reception.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the class teacher in delivering the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum.
• Create a safe, inclusive and engaging classroom environment.
• Support children through play‑based learning, one‑to‑one and small‑group interventions.
• Assist with phonics, early literacy and numeracy activities.
• Encourage communication, social and emotional development.
• Contribute to observations, assessments and learning journeys.
• Collaborate with teachers, colleagues and parents to monitor individual progress.

Required profile

• Previous experience in an Early Years setting (Nursery or Reception).
• Excellent communication skills and a caring, patient approach.
• Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years qualification is advantageous but not essential.
