EYFS Teaching Assistant / Nursery Nurse – Basildon

About the role

Join a thriving primary school in Basildon as an EYFS Teaching Assistant / Nursery Nurse. Working full‑time on a term‑time basis, you will support young learners in the Early Years Foundation Stage, collaborating closely with experienced staff in both Nursery and Reception.

Key responsibilities

• Provide tailored support to children in the EYFS.
• Assist in delivering engaging phonics, reading, writing and maths sessions.
• Support children with mild Special Educational Needs.
• Contribute to a creative and stimulating learning environment.
• Help children develop confidence, independence and social skills.

Required profile

• Previous experience working with children in Early Years settings.
• Passionate about education and helping children reach their potential.
• Friendly, creative and confident with strong communication abilities.
• Keen to make a meaningful impact in a school environment.

Required skills

• Phonics instruction.
• Reading, writing and maths facilitation.
• Basic understanding of supporting mild SEN.
