Fabric Supervisor – 3 month contract in Kent

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Fabric Supervisor to join the Property Services team of a busy local authority. This three‑month, on‑site contract involves leading the maintenance of building fabric across a varied portfolio of offices, schools, community centres and operational properties.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise delivery of fabric maintenance and repair works, including roofing, brickwork, carpentry, glazing, flooring and internal finishes.
• Manage and monitor contractors and suppliers, ensuring compliance with SLAs, KPIs and contract specifications.
• Ensure health & safety and statutory compliance across all works.
• Oversee planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive fabric repairs.
• Conduct site inspections, condition surveys and quality audits.
• Support minor works and refurbishment projects throughout the estate.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a Hard FM or fabric supervisory role.
• IOSH qualification.
• Strong knowledge of building fabric elements such as roofing, walls, finishes and structural components.
• Experience managing contractors and maintenance contracts.
