About the role
We are seeking a skilled Fabricator/Welder to join a well‑established manufacturer in Skelmersdale. The role is initially on a contract basis, working on bespoke equipment and fabricated assemblies for demanding sectors such as subsea, nuclear and other heavy‑engineering applications.
Key responsibilities
- Fabricate and weld bespoke equipment and assemblies to engineering specifications.
- Interpret and work from detailed engineering drawings.
- Perform high‑quality MIG welding operations.
- Ensure all fabrication and welding work meets required quality standards.
- Work both independently and as part of a production team.
- Maintain a safe and organised working environment.
Required profile
- Previous experience in heavy engineering or bespoke manufacturing environments.
- Competent in reading and interpreting detailed engineering drawings.
- Demonstrated high standard of fabrication and MIG welding.
- Reliability, motivation and ability to produce work to a high standard.
Required skills
- MIG welding
- TIG welding (advantageous)

- Welding to coded standards
