Facilities & Maintenance Technician – Oxfordshire

About the role

Bond Williams is seeking a Facilities & Maintenance Technician to support a multi‑site business in Oxfordshire. The role starts as a six‑month temporary position with the potential to become permanent in 2027, offering hands‑on experience across a range of building services.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out basic building repairs and general maintenance tasks.
• Support routine inspections and testing of fire alarms, emergency lighting and other safety equipment.
• Maintain logbooks, forms and electronic records accurately.
• Assist with induction and supervision of external contractors.
• Respond to help‑desk requests such as meeting‑room setups and furniture moves.
• Help with small projects, including office or laboratory relocations and refurbishments.

Required profile

• Positive attitude with good communication skills.
• Genuine interest in hands‑on maintenance work and learning on the job.
• Ability to travel regularly to sites in Abingdon and Didcot (own transport advantageous).
• Willingness to work core hours 8 am‑5 pm, Monday‑Friday, with occasional paid overtime.
