Facilities Supervisor – Hospital Operations

About the role

The Facilities Supervisor will lead a dedicated team to ensure the Royal Gwent Hospital environment is safe, clean, welcoming and well‑maintained. Working across multiple sites, you will support clinical staff and contribute directly to a high‑quality patient experience.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee cleaning, ward catering and portering services to meet NHS standards.
• Maintain and improve the condition of hospital facilities, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Manage shift patterns, including a 17.5‑hour weekly schedule (15:00‑20:00) across 3‑4 shifts.
• Coordinate with clinical teams to address facility‑related issues promptly.
• Monitor performance metrics and drive continuous improvement.
