Factory Operative – Manufacturing Production Role

About the role

This is an exciting opportunity for a Factory Operative to join an established manufacturing business in Leeds. The role is hands‑on, focused on maintaining product quality and supporting the production line, with full training provided.

Key responsibilities

• Sanding, rubbing and masking painted products and components.
• Preparing stencils and jigs for production activities.
• Applying markings and identification details to products.
• Using a variety of hand tools safely and effectively.
• Following quality standards, procedures and work instructions.
• Maintaining health and safety compliance and reporting any concerns.
• Carrying out general housekeeping to keep the workplace clean and organised.
• Supporting general factory and production tasks as required.
• Meeting agreed production schedules and targets.
• Communicating effectively with colleagues, supervisors and other departments.

Required profile

• Reliable, dependable and physically fit for manual duties.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Positive, proactive attitude and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Flexible and willing to support different areas of the factory.
