Faculty Buyer – Procurement Role

About the role
The Faculty Buyer will join the University of Leeds Purchasing Team, providing a professional, customer‑focused procurement service for university faculties. The role is based on the Leeds campus with the possibility of hybrid working and offers a chance to develop a career in procurement.
Key responsibilities
- Support the purchasing needs of university faculties, ensuring value for money on goods, supplies and services.
- Follow and improve procurement processes to maximise efficiency and effectiveness.
- Resolve purchasing and invoice queries in a proactive manner.
- Use the SAP purchasing system (P2P) and other in‑house tools to enter data, generate reports and maintain records.
Required profile
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build strong working relationships.
- Self‑motivated, resourceful and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong numeracy, literacy and IT aptitude, with willingness to undertake required training.
- Not eligible for Skilled Worker visa sponsorship.
