Family & Children Paralegal – Milton Keynes

About the role

The Family and Children Paralegal will join Duncan Lewis Solicitors’ dedicated family law team in Milton Keynes. Reporting directly to the Department Director, the role provides proactive client care and supports solicitors throughout the lifecycle of family and children matters.

Key responsibilities

• Assist solicitors with preparation of case files, evidence bundles and court documents.
• Conduct legal research and draft correspondence, statements and applications.
• Liaise with clients, courts and third‑party professionals to gather information and manage deadlines.
• Provide support during hearings, attend court proceedings and ensure accurate record‑keeping.
• Maintain confidentiality and uphold the firm’s high standards of data security.

Required profile

• Qualified paralegal or equivalent experience in family and children law.
• Strong client‑care skills with a sensitive and sympathetic approach.
• Proactive, organised and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Willingness to work in a hybrid environment.
