Family Law Solicitor

About the role

Our client, a well‑established law firm with over 100 years of history, is seeking an experienced Family Law Solicitor to join its Windsor team. The role offers autonomy, client‑facing responsibilities and a clear progression path to Head of Department and partnership.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a varied family law caseload from instruction through to conclusion.
• Handle matters such as divorce, financial disputes, children matters, separation agreements, pre‑ and post‑nuptial agreements, care proceedings and domestic abuse.
• Meet clients face‑to‑face and deliver high‑quality client care.
• Represent clients at hearings and in court where required.
• Work independently, progressing matters efficiently.
• Support department growth through a hands‑on approach and contribute to business development.
• Maintain high standards of risk management and compliance.
• Collaborate with colleagues and support staff.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years post‑qualification experience in family law.
• Proven ability to manage a caseload independently.
• Strong experience across a broad range of private family law matters.
• Confidence in a client‑facing role with excellent communication and relationship‑building skills.
• Comfortable working with limited supervision and a proactive, hands‑on approach.
• Interest in business development.
• Good IT and case‑management systems experience.
• Experience of the DPS IT Case Management System is beneficial but not essential.

What we offer

• Salary £50,000–£55,000 per year, plus a 15% on‑target bonus linked to billable invoices.
