Family Locum Solicitor (Temporary)

About the role

Our client, a well‑established law firm in East Anglia, is seeking an experienced Family Locum Solicitor to support its busy Family Law team on an interim basis. The role can be performed remotely or on a hybrid schedule and is expected to run for an initial period of two to three months.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a varied caseload of privately funded family matters, including divorce, financial settlements and child arrangements.
• Draft, review and finalise legal documents and correspondence.
• Liaise with clients, third‑party professionals and other stakeholders as required.
• Provide clear, practical and sensitive advice to clients throughout the process.
• Collaborate with the wider Family team and maintain accurate, up‑to‑date case files.

Required profile

• Strong experience handling privately funded Family Law matters.
• Ability to work autonomously while delivering senior‑level support.
• Available to start at short notice and commit to the temporary assignment.

Required skills

• Proficiency in drafting and reviewing legal documents.
• Excellent case management and organisational abilities.
• Effective communication with clients and professional partners.
